Question 1. How frequently do you make a home watch visit?
Weekly (4 – 5 visits per month), Tri-Weekly (3 visits per month) ,Bi-Weekly ( 2 visits per month) You must check your homeowners insurance policy. They may require that a Home Watch Reporter is necessary and it may even be a condition of coverage.
Question 2. What are some of the things you do on your Home Watch visit?
On each visit, I will cycle the water which includes brushing and flushing toilets, running water in sinks, tubs, and showers, to keep the drain traps wet so there are no smells or drain flies, checking for visible leaks, run the dishwasher and washing machine regularly.
I use my flashlight to look at ceilings, visible walls and baseboards for signs of water or other damage. I am trained to identify irregularities and to catch a damaging situation in the early stages.
In a tropical climate, like Florida, I will check the humidity level and, if it is over 50%, will adjust the thermostat, so the AC operates properly to draw humidity out of the air. Please know that all procedures vary by climate, type of home, and equipment.
Question 3. How do you handle a problem or a damaging situation?
In approaching any problem or potentially damaging situation, I recognize that each scenario is distinct. Consequently, my strategy involves a tailored approach to address the issue effectively. I prioritize troubleshooting in a manner that aligns with the specific circumstances at hand. Additionally, I make it a point to maintain open lines of communication with the homeowner or any designated individuals involved.
Moreover, I have a diverse array of resources at my disposal, which enables me to adapt to various challenges. Furthermore, I can readily tap into a network of qualified service providers when necessary to ensure a swift and proficient resolution
Question 4. Who makes the visit if you have an illness or any other emergency?
In the event of illness or any other emergency, the contingency plan becomes crucial. If I am unable to make a visit, there is a backup solution in place. Specifically, I have a partner or colleague who is equally credentialed and capable of stepping in to assist. It is a benefit of my affiliation with the Home Watch Network TM.

Certainly, when it comes to what else you should know, it’s important to understand that I don’t have the ability to prevent events from occurring. Instead, my role entails conducting thorough visual checks and identifying any anomalies or potential hazards in their early stages, effectively mitigating the risk of these situations escalating into disasters.
